Lighter Safety Tips & Warnings:
|
● Do not store your lighter close to source of
heat or fire such as stove, radiator, fireplace, direct sunlight, etc.
● Do not refill lighter in small closed spaces such as in the car, small cabins,
etc.
● Always keep away from reach of children. Playing with fire and light is amusing
to children which may cause unforgivable results. ●
Always
hold the lighter away from face. ● Do not ignite
the lighter while refueling. |
Please be
advised that your lighter might not immediately work upon delivery. This is
because the lighter has been shipped without gas to comply with shipping
regulations and safety purposes. Please follow the instructions to fill your
lighter.

|
To Fill Your Lighter Please Do the
Following: |
|
1. Do not refill the lighter immediately
after use. Allow enough time to cool off (3 to 5 minutes) |
2. Set the flame height to the minimum; use
the adjuster on the bottom of the lighter. Use the flame shaped
adjusting tool if your lighter has one in the packaging,
otherwise use a small screw driver. If your lighter has the
adjusting wheel, you don’t need this tool. Turn the adjusting
screw clockwise to tighten the gas valve. |
|
3. Hold the lighter in an upside-down
position and make sure the valve is away from your face. |
4. Using the Adjusting Tool or a
screwdriver, push the refilling valve in (on the bottom of the
lighter). This will let out any air or butane inside. You might
feel the cool butane on your fingers for a few seconds. Hold the
valve in until no hissing sound is heard. This is a necessary
step before refilling because trapped air in the fuel tank can
prevent the lighter from functioning properly. |
5. Shake the butane refill can and press the
nozzle of can directly onto the refilling valve of the lighter.
Remember that both the lighter and butane gas must be in an
upside-down vertical position. |
|
6. Let the gas go into the lighter for about
5 seconds. Repeat one more time if necessary, for maximum
refueling. |
7. Allow 3 to 4 minutes for the gas and
lighter components to reach room temperature. This allows for
butane to settle. |
|
8. Turn the flame adjusted slowly
counter-clockwise to reach the desired flame height. |
9. Hold the lighter away from face or body
and ignite it carefully. If the flame is too high, turn the
adjuster back toward the – (minus) mark. If the flame height is
still too low, turn the adjuster slowly toward the + (plus) mark
and try again. |
|
10. If there is no flame, there is a good
chance that the lighter has not been filled. Try the refilling
process again. |
|

|
If you are
still having problems: |
| |
Make sure you are using a well known butane gas brand.
Using
NIBO Gas Refill is highly recommended.
Butane impurity will cause congestion and malfunctioning. |
| |
The flame height might be set on too low or too high. Try
adjusting it. |
| |
Try emptying the gas tank of the lighter again. There still
maybe air trapped inside that you did not let out the first
time. |
| |
The lighter mechanism/burners may be dirty. Make sure there is
not dust inside the lighter on in the exposed lighter mechanism.
Dust or particles can be removed easily by using an air can on
the empty lighter, such as the ones used to clean computers and
keyboards. |
| |
The butane did not settle or come to room temperature yet. Wait
a few minutes and try again. |
| |
The lighter may be broken and is leaking butane. |
| |
If you experience gas leakage with a hissing sound while
refilling the lighter, you are not holding the lighter and gas
can in straight upside down position |
| |
The gas can nozzle may not be suitable for lighter. In this
case, use the adapter, which is normally supplied on or inside
the butane gas cans. |
